with Diana. our new friend!

group shot to mark the end of the night.
4th of July : Independence day
Showcase of fireworks at 9.30pm.
headed out to west 27th street just to catch those beautiful array of sparkles.
tons of ooohhhs and ahhhss went on for 30 minutes.
everyone was in awe.
here were my best shots.

snapped non-stop for a good 20 minutes and only managed to get these beautiful shots.
but the fireworks were absolutely stunning.
if you took pictures, send me a link! would love to see what you got.

Sweetie, thanks for accompanying me to watch fireworks even though u catch it every year. haha.

ending the night with a picture of the buddies.
I have never seen the subway so over-crowded with people.
it was crazily warm and i could hardly breathe.
police officers were on stand by, making sure everyone was abiding safety rules.
they even let us all in for a free train ride. =)

He graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a degree in Accounting, Finance and MIS.
and amazingly thinks of accounting as versatile and exciting. (what makes marketing then?)
well, the average person would think of accountants as mundane but i beg to differ.
Bev is funny, cool and really helpful.
he doesnt mind going the extra mile for a friend.
Hence, he deserves a shout out on my blog!
Well, he recently started blogging under my influence. =)
Currently, he works at Deloitte and is on his to becoming a CPA.

Since im at home and basically just twittering and reading up on news, i might as well blog.
Caught Transformers 2 last night at 32nd street.
This is the real stuff here.
Seriously i think its way better than the first one.
so much action, it kept my eyes twirling and whirling.
Sam's mom was mad funny in the movie, her silly antics on campus made us all giggle like crazy in the theatre.
the only bad part of the movie : the ending was way too abrupt.
Don't wanna be a spoiler here.
watch it and you'll know what i mean.
New Ashiya Japanese Restaurant.
all-you-can-eat for a whole 2 hrs @ $25!
add $5 for free flow of beer. who could resist?

ooh! everyone ready to dig in ?

Food aplenty. and just how much can we fill in our little tummies?
you'll be amazed.

silly shot.
After dinner, all 9 of us took a long walk (about an hour) in the cold, hard rain.
cause we HAD to digest the crazy amount of sushi we gobbled in 2 hours.
Then...
Saturday night at touch was awesome possum.
we had 2 bottles of stoli vodka and a bottle of champagne.
danced to good hip hop music in the company of my boys and girls.
A small glimpse of us partying. the rest can be seen on facebook.
my favorite group shot.

picture taking all through the night. we had so much fun snapping!
and that wraps up my eventful saturday. what a long and tiring night but its really been awhile since the whole group of us hung out till wee hours of the night.
no complains at all cause i'm lovin it!
:: Best I ever had ::

where can you get fusion food accompanied by a great ambience like this?

you got that right! sushi samba park!

with my brazilian mixed sushi.

brazilian/ peruvian seafood.
the fusioned gravy was the key ingredient yet it was disappointing.
the A couple with their dessert.

my love and I ready to dig in!
I would say, Sushi Samba Park did deliver in terms of atmosphere.
It was a pretty nice experience and if you have a bottomless wallet and looking for a place to chill out with a group of friends, I'd recommend it.
But its over-priced menu along with the mediocre quality of food, is telling me not to go back for a second time.
Last saturday night,
Zoe's right on prince street.
Dinner with the usual people.
Zoe's is one of the rare restaurants that uses wood fired ovens to prepare most of their entrees.

shocked?

the sisters enjoying their fries and pizza.

bev with his salmon!

here's me with my strawberry tart.
very sweet, very sinful and also very very delicious.
I cannot agree more that its wood fired oven method is very unique.
My chicken entree was extremely tasty but i've had better.
Its food is definitely not world class.
But overall, a pretty good restaurant experience.
